Ryedale Community Transport CIO starts where public transport stops. We can help those who have no other transport solution get to where they need to go.
Ryedale Community Transport CIO provides transport solutions to rurally isolated people, those with mobility issues, young people who need to get to work, education or training as well as Group Travel. Passengers going to medical appointments always take the highest priority. We can also deliver car and MPV drivers in MIDAS accessible qualifications and passenger assistant qualifications
These objectives are achieved with the following services:
- Volunteer Car Scheme.
- A Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle service.
- A Group Travel minibus service.
- A Wheels to Work moped loan scheme.
- The Ryedale Rover on demand dial & ride service.
Volunteering Opportunities
Volunteers provide the corner stone of our charity; people choose to volunteer for a variety of reasons. For some it offers the chance to give something back to the community or make a difference to the people around them. For others it provides an opportunity to develop new skills or build on existing experience and knowledge. Regardless of the motivation, what unites them all is that they find it both challenging and rewarding.
